 Water Department Announces Reduced Hours
The Bear Creek Water Department announces reduced office hours.
The new hours are as follows:
* Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, 8 a.m. until noon;
* Wednesday-closed;
* Friday, 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.
Bills are due by the 20th of each month, and a drop box is located on the side of the building.
“We would appreciate customer cooperation regarding the new office hours,” said Don Lawler, chairman of the board. “We ask that our customers help us watch for leaks and report them. We would also like to take this opportunity to remind our customers to be careful when digging near waterlines and when hauling heavy machinery over waterlines and narrow roadways.
“We had to make some hard decisions, but we did what we felt was in the best interest of our customers right now.”
